Details
A front-loading cast iron chiminea. The chimney is the practical argument for this shape over an open bowl — it directs smoke upward and away from the people sitting around it rather than into whichever seat is downwind.
Key features
- Chimney draws smoke up and away from seating
- Front-loading mouth with a hinged door
- Cast iron holds and radiates heat after the fire dies down
- Raised stand included
Materials
Cast iron with a heat-resistant finish. Cast iron's mass is what lets it keep throwing heat once the flames drop.
Intended use
Wood fires on patios and in gardens, particularly in tighter spaces where smoke management matters.
Assembly
Stand assembles and the body sits on top. This is a heavy item; two people are needed to position it.
Care
Keep dry when not in use to limit surface rust. Empty ash once cold. Season the interior with a light oil coat if surface rust appears.
What's included
Chiminea body, chimney, stand, and door.
Not included
Cover, fuel, and spark arrestor are sold separately. Surfaces get extremely hot in use — keep children and pets clear.
Care & Maintenance
Care guidance specific to each material is included in the product details above. General guidance for outdoor pieces: rinse surfaces with clean water and mild soap, allow cushions and textiles to dry fully before storage, and keep timber, metal and stone clear of standing water over winter.
